Privacy policy

What we collect and why

• Price alerts. If you set one, we keep your email address, the product and your target price. We don't send alert emails yet. We use your email for that alert and nothing else, on the basis of your consent, which you withdraw by cancelling the alert.
• One cookie. pg_market remembers which country's prices you are looking at, for 90 days. The site needs it to show you the right prices, and it is not used for tracking or advertising.
• Visits. To see how many people use the site and where they come from, we count visits without cookies. Each day we turn your IP address and browser type into a code that cannot be turned back, and the key that makes the code is deleted the next day, so we cannot recognise you on another day and never store your IP address this way. With that code we record the pages you view, the searches you make, and the website or campaign link that brought you. We use this to improve the site, which is our legitimate interest.
• Clicks to shops. When you follow a link to a shop, we record which offer was clicked, when, from which page of our site, which of that day's visits it was part of, and, if a creator's link brought you, which creator, so they can be paid their share. This record does not include your IP address.
• Server logs. Our server logs each request, including the IP address, the page, the page you came from and the browser type. We use them only to keep the site secure and working, which is our legitimate interest in running it.

What we don't do

We don't use tracking cookies, advertising trackers or third-party analytics, we don't follow you from one day to the next or across other websites, and we don't sell your data.

Who else is involved

• Hosting. Our servers are run by Amazon Web Services in Frankfurt, Germany, which processes the data above on our behalf. We don't move it outside the European Union.
• Product images. Pictures are loaded from the shops' own image servers, most of them Shopify's, so your browser contacts those servers directly, as it does for any image on any website.
• Shops and marketplaces. When you leave PriceGrizzly for a shop, eBay or Amazon, their own privacy policies apply. Links to Amazon are affiliate links, and Amazon may use cookies on its own site to record that a sale came from us. PriceGrizzly is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program.

How long we keep it

Price alert details are kept until you cancel the alert, with the link on the page that confirms it, or ask us to delete them. Visit records are deleted after 90 days. Server logs are deleted after 14 days.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, or object to how we use it, by emailing contact@grizzlify.com. You can also complain to a data protection authority: in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office; in the European Union, the authority in your country.

If this policy changes, the new version will be published on this page with a new date.
